When the trials and tribulations of this life come, and they do come, there are passage of Scritpure, truths, that we cling to to survive, persevere, and endure. I believe the passage in Romans 8 with the assurance "nothing can separate us from the love of God" is one of supreme examples.

I don't always remember where or when I wrote a song, but I do remember this one. My husband (then boyfriend) and I were on a mission trip to Costa Rica with our church. We had a little down time, and I took my guitar to the back porch of the laundry shed and started working on a song. I prayed for some inspiration, that God would lead me to the right text. I had my Bible, and I ended up at Romans 8. I tried to set the Scritpure instead of cherry-pick the well-known line and elaborate on my own for the rest of the song.

Paul has a lot to say, and I wanted to include as much as I could in the song.
