In the past few years, I've been involved in year-long Disciple Bible Studies. These are studies put out by the Methodist Church. I've done Disciple 1 (a walk throughtheBible) twice, and Jesus and the Gospels once. The more I encountered the Scriptures, then more I was challenged by the real definition of being a disciple or a follower of Christ. While faith and belief are paramount, the response to this faith and belief must result in action. Jesus commanded with a lot of simple verbs - "go" "follow" "feed" "tend" "love" and so forth.

There is a phrase I've always heart about being the hands and feet of Christ. I don't believe that phrase is directly in the BIble, but the idea certainly flows from our all being members of the Body of Christ. This song is a prayer of offering and dedication and also one of commitment to be a disciple.
